Sky Works Charitable Foundation is a non-profit documentary organization established in 1983. Our documentaries are designed to encourage audiences to see the value of their own experience and to take action on their own behalf. We make films that deal with contemporary social issues and use them as community development tools in public awareness campaigns, strategic action plans, and professional development programs.

The documentaries raise questions, stimulate discussion, and encourage audience participation in social and community change. We believe that our own personal experiences – our collective, lived experience – is the source of the most innovative and effective strategies for dealing with those issues.

 

Sky Works documentaries give Canadians the chance to speak for themselves about the things that matter most to them. By exploring real, day-to-day experiences of men, women and young people, the films not only give us a heightened reflection of ourselves and our society, they inspire our personal investigation of the issues they raise.
