Sumac has been a tremendous help in the management of all our organization’s contacts, and an essential support tool for fundraising, communications and event administration. The software is easy to use and data can be searched in many ways. Overall, Sumac supports our daily work and is a key element of fulfilling our mission.– Executive Director, The Glenn Gould Foundation
The Glenn Gould Foundation is both a Canadian charitable organization and an international cultural institution that celebrates Gould’s spirit and legacy through the Glenn Gould Prize and other signature events including the Glenn Gould Lectures and Glenn Gould concerts to promote exceptional young artists in the development of their careers.
The Glenn Gould Prize is awarded to an individual for a unique lifetime contribution that has enriched the human condition through the arts. It promotes the vital connection between artistic excellence and the transformation of lives. The life’s work of a Glenn Gould Prize laureate embodies this connection. Each Glenn Gould Prize Laureate also chooses an outstanding young artists to receive the City of Toronto Glenn Gould Protégé Prize.
With both a Canadian and parallel U.S. Foundation, and a board of directors including men and women of international distinction on five continents, our objective is to establish The Glenn Gould Prize as an honour unsurpassed in the world of art and creativity – a world symbol of excellence.
In 2011, an international jury of artists and arts professionals from around the world selected the acclaimed singer, songwriter, poet and visual artist Leonard Cohen as our ninth Glenn GOuld PRize laureate. Mr. Cohen will be celebrated in a spectacular tribute concert in the spring of 2012 in Toronto. Watch ur web site for more info and announcements:
